I feel like I've cracked a major barrier this semester with my art. I haven't exactly learned the amount of new skill I wanted to, although I did learn to carve. But what is far more important than that, I think I've made the jump from "someone who draws" to "young artist".

Drawing OCs and whatever is just drawing. It doesn't mean a hell of alot.

Art is when you pour your truth and soul into something and it reflects YOU, not some fantasy you have.

Art is truth.

I've created three projects this year that all say something genuine and important about me. They actually mean something, they aren't just drawings of "pretty things". And tomorrow evening there is a one night only show of my work, and I'm actually happy with and proud of all of it.

Now that I know this new path, I think I can finally move out of the rut I had been in for years. So I'm happy.
